Properties：It is a colorless transparent liquid. Smells like chloroform. Soluble in alcohol, ether and other organic solvents, insoluble in water. It is flammable, its steam and air can form explosive mixture. It can explode if exposed to open fire or high heat. It can react strongly with the oxidant. It is possible to form explosive chloroacetylene with copper and its alloys. Heated in the air, it will decompose and release the highly toxic phosgene and hydrogen chloride gases. Boiling point (101.3kPa): 47.7ºC, Melting point: -49.4ºC, Flash point(opening): 6ºC.

Uses：It can be used as the organic solvent of paint, resin, wax, rubber, acetic acid fiber and other polymer materials. It is a solvent based cleaning agent for metal cleaning or flux or solder cream residues on PCB. It shows excellent cleaning efficiency and fast drying. It is a good substitute for regulation restricted materials such as MC (Methylene chloride), TCE (trichloroethylene), PCE (Perchloroethylene), Tetrachloroethylene and so on.
With the continuous development of research, its application is becoming more and more widespread. The latest research shows that trans-1,2-dichloroethylene can also be used to produce high-end polyurethane foaming agent, and has no damage to the atmosphere. Therefore, in today's increasing awareness of environmental protection, it has obvious economic and social benefits to develop the application of trans-1,2-dichloroethylene.
