Properties：2-Butyl-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BBIT) is a yellow to reddish-brown transparent liquid. Melting point: 173~183℃. Relative density (g/ml): 1.16~1.18. pH value: 2.5~3.5. Water solubility (20℃): ≤1mg/L. Thermal stability: ≥300℃. Excellent UV resistance, suitable for long-term outdoor application.

Applications：2-Butyl-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BBIT) is a high-efficiency broad-spectrum fungicide and preservative, mainly used to eliminate microorganisms attached to polyurethane (PU), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polysiloxane (silicone), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and other polymer materials. It features stable chemical properties, no reaction with additives and no impact on product performance, and is miscible with plasticizers, organic carriers and diluents. With excellent UV resistance, it will not fail when used outdoors. The recommended addition amount in indoor and outdoor plastic products is 0.5-1%, achieving level 0 mildew resistance. Halogen-free and heavy-metal-free, it is an eco-friendly antimicrobial solution for polymer materials.
