Properties：DBNPA (2,2-Dibromo-3-nitrilopropionamide) is a white crystalline powder at room temperature, with a melting point of 122-125℃ and a boiling point of approximately 221.5℃ (760mmHg). It is slightly soluble in water (1.5g/100g water at 25℃) and highly soluble in organic solvents such as acetone, ethanol, and polyethylene glycol. Stable under acidic conditions, it hydrolyzes easily in alkaline environments, with accelerated decomposition under increased pH, heating, or UV irradiation—its half-life decreases from 37 hours to 0.11 hours as pH rises from 6.7 to 9.7

Applications：DBNPA is a broad-spectrum, high-efficiency, low-toxic, and rapidly degradable industrial biocide with excellent slime stripping performance. It is foam-free, highly compatible, and certified by EU BPR, REACH, and other international standards. Widely used in various industrial fields, it effectively inhibits the growth of bacteria, fungi, algae, and sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB), preventing biological contamination and equipment damage.

1. Water Treatment

• Industrial Circulating Cooling Water Systems: Rapidly eliminates microorganisms, removes biofilm from equipment surfaces, improves heat transfer efficiency, reduces energy consumption and corrosion risks. Suitable for intermittent or continuous dosing, effective at low concentrations;

• RO/Nanofiltration Membrane Systems: Harmless to polyamide composite membranes, quickly kills microorganisms on membrane surfaces, prevents biofouling, extends membrane lifespan, and degrades without residues, ideal for long-term membrane protection;

• Oilfield Water Treatment: Controls sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) in reinjection water, avoids hydrogen sulfide formation and pipeline corrosion, maintains drilling fluid stability, and adapts to seawater desalination pretreatment on offshore platforms.

2. Paper & Wood Industry

• Paper & Pulp Industry: Preserves pulp, disinfects white water recycling systems, inhibits mildew, odor, and biofouling-induced blockages, reduces web breaks, and improves paper quality and production efficiency;
